Social media can affect individuals with depression into two ways and the first way is the negative way in the following ways; 1.Comparison.Seeing idealized portrayals of others' lives can lead to feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem. 2.Cyberbullying.Negative interactions and online harassment can worsen depressive symptoms. 3.Isolation.Excessive use can lead to social isolation, reducing real-life social interactions. 4.Sleep Disruption Late-night use can interfere with sleep, which is crucial for mental health. Types of depression

 Depression encompasses a variety of types, each with its own specific characteristics and diagnostic criteria. Here are the main types of depression: 1.Major Depressive Disorder (MDD):- Characteristics: Persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest or pleasure in activities. Symptoms must last for at least two weeks. - Symptoms: Changes in appetite or weight, sleep disturbances, fatigue, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, difficulty concentrating, and thoughts of death or suicide. 2.
