CAUSES OF DEPRESSION

Esther Tuyishimire According to Esther Tuyishimire a Mount Kenya student , depression is caused by several reasons and among them these are ;  The pressure of trying to fit in the environment trying to be like others so as not to be the old man out. This is mostly common to young people especially young girls who think that they are not enough hence causing depression   Family issues; Most families don’t listen to their children and they always want their children to be like them or want them to fulfill the dreams they were not able to achieve hence causing depression.  Depression is a mental health disorder characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest or pleasure in activities. It can affect how you think, feel, and handle daily activities, and it may also cause physical symptoms. It's essential to seek help from a mental health professional if you're experiencing symptoms of depression. Doctors, particularly those specializing in mental health such as psychiatrists and psychologist, recognize depression as a serious and complex medical condition.    Depression gets better in many people, also when they do not get treatment.
