CAUSES OF DEPRESSION

According to Esther Tuyishimire a Mount Kenya student , depression is caused by several reasons and among them these are ;

 The pressure of trying to fit in the environment trying to be like others so as not to be the old man out. This is mostly common to young people especially young girls who think that they are not enough hence causing depression 

 Family issues; Most families don’t listen to their children and they always want their children to be like them or want them to fulfill the dreams they were not able to achieve hence causing depression.

Biological factors; Imbalance in brain chemicals, genetics or hormones can play a role in developing depression. 

 Environmental factors; certain life events like loss, relationship problems, financial difficulties or major changes can trigger or worsen depression .

 Health factors; chronic illness, substance abuse or certain medication can increase the risk of depression . 

Conclusion;  It’s essential to seek professional help if you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms of depression. Treatment options like therapy, medication, and lifestyle change can be effective in managing depression. If you have any more questions or need further information.
