Depression is a very dangerous disease that can reach an extent of one harming themselves and the people around them . You may ask your self that can one protect themselves from getting depressed, well i have good news for you because it is very possible for one to be free from this disease (depression). -To engage in group discussions. One of the best ways for one not to get depressed is by engaging in group discussion and let out all that is berthing you, as you know a problem shared is half way solved and it also when you share your problems even though it may not be solved but at-least you feel relieved.
-Be contented; Most of the people who get depressed they are have this one issue in common not to be contented with what they have or who they are.They always feel like they should be like others for they always think less of themselves. The best way for one not get depressed is to be contented with what they have no matter how small it may look.
It is very possible for one not to be depressed through so many ways which are living a prayerful life, to be unique and the above mentioned ways. With the few ways mentioned one can be rest assured not to get depressed.
